Liz & Adam's Wedding at South Lodge Hotel near Horsham, West Sussex

I started at Liz's Parents' home which was full of laughter from sisters, nephews and nieces. It was totally calm, with signs evident that Liz's Mum was a wonderful organiser. Everyone looked beautiful as they prepared to head to the church just down the road.

Liz & Adam were married at All Saints in Crowborough by the Revd Canon Andrew Cornes in a personal service full of life and some fabulous singing. Adam, his ushers and family all looked very smart and the congregation was bright and colourful. Liz arrived to much excitement from the girls (especially Izzy) - she looked stunning. Her Father escorted her down the (very long!) aisle to where Adam and David were waiting.

Out into bright sunshine and the 45 minute journey to South Lodge near Horsham in West Sussex. I loved the fact that everyone was given a little snack at the church to carry them through. Very thoughtful indeed. Guest were greeted by a fabulous sounding BlueSax Quartet, who I have to say are probably the best looking quartet I've seen for quite some time - very glamorous. A fun group shot from the highest bedroom at South Lodge wonderfully organised by Martin at South Lodge and then the family shots where I was under strict instructions to keep it brief. Eleven groups in 15 minutes... Result! Thanks go to Mark for some pretty good announcing.

And then a few shots of Liz and Adam before their receiving line and entrance into their meal. The meal looked delicious and everyone was very jolly as I went round doing my couple headshots. Mike, Adam and David gave very impressive speeches (much embarrassment for both Liz and Adam) before the cake cutting and then outside again for some relaxing croquet and wandering around the gardens.

The first dance was impressive and then everyone joined Adam and Liz to dance the night away. I managed one last shot of the two of them in front of the building before heading home... utterly exhausted. Many thanks to Liz & Adam and their families for looking after me so well and to Jonathan, Mark & Martin at South Lodge for going the extra mile to make my job easy. And finally to Izzy & Tom who made me laugh all day and were adorable.

Look forward to showing Adam and Liz their photographs on Sunday morning!

Update: I was stunned (into silence even) a couple of weeks ago when a lovely card arrived with the most amazing flowers from Liz and Adam which were totally unecessary but HUGELY appreciated.

They are still going strong too! Thanks you guys - lots of love & hope to see you all again very soon. Emma xxx
