Georgie & Brendan's Wedding - Chiddingstone Castle and Ide Hill near Sevenoaks in Kent

Last month I was finally able to photograph a wedding at the very beautiful Chiddingstone Castle in Kent. I'd worked there before shooting some work for the website & brochure but it's not quite the same without people. Luckily the weather was amazing all day and into the evening. I first met them via Sarah (very gorgeous bridesmaid) so a big 'thank you' to her & Jamie for introducing me to such a lovely and fun couple.

To see their mini slideshow simply click on the image below. To see all of their pictures, once in the slideshow view, click on the shopping basket and when prompted the password is Brendan & Georgie's surname (case sensitive).

I started off at Georgie's Granny's home where final preparations to the garden & stunning marquee were taking place. What was especially lovely was that Georgie's Mother & Father had their own wedding reception in Betty's garden - there was a real sense of 'family' throughout the entire day and that came across so beautifully.

Georgie came down the stairs looking gorgeous and I giggled when I saw the cars taking them all to Chiddingstone - two classic VWs looking very smart and funky on the driveway. That really set the mood for the whole day which was relaxed, fun, spirited, joyful and full of love.

I reached the amazing orangery at Chiddingstone - well worth a visit (fabulous roof) - to find Brendan, Ranj, Nick & Charlie looking very smart as they greeted guests and showed them to their seats in the lovely sunshine. Georgie & Julian and Sarah, Kathryn and Sarah looked fantastic approaching the orangery from the Castle and all eyes were on them as they walked up the aisle. A very personal service with four readings and a fabulous Soprano in the form of Jenny as they signed the register. What a great setting!

Back down to aisle to "Here Comes the Sun" (how apt) and a lovely tea party on the lawn in front of the Castle. I took the two of them off for a few shots in and around the Castle before a few family shots and then off to Ide Hill and a champagne reception. The speeches from Julian, Tim, Brendan & Ranj were excellent with the latter bringing the house down with his 'movie star' photograph surprise (poor Brendan). And then a delicious hog roast and lots of very crazy boogieing.

All in all a fabulous day full of laughter & joy - thanks all for making me so welcome and good luck with your future together (+ Coco now too)!
