Sam looked simply amazing and I really liked the flower theme - Megan's simple single flower so suited her and Sam's bouquet was beathtaking. After the service we did all of the groups in the churchyard and then everyone headed back to the Felbridge Hotel for a champagne reception. Everyone except Sam and John who very gamely stayed behind for 15 minutes for their portraits. The area around the Church is simply stunning with lots of fabulous trees and of course the gorgeous wooden entrance door to the church which set off Sam's dress beautifully. They climbed into their car and off the the Hotel where they were greeted by all of their guests as they approached across the courtyard - a stunning sight with the sun low behind them.
Speeches were followed by a delicious meal and then a brief interlude for Sam's Grandfather's birthday cake - a lovely surprise. And then the evening guests arrived and the party really got going with lots of happy dancing.
All in all a fantastic day made even more special by the great weather. Good luck to you both & your future together - it was a pleasure to work with you all.
[What's so lovely about my job is that the vast majority of weddings that I photograph come from previous wedding referrals. Last year I shot Anna & Steven's wedding, their bridesmaid Caroline then married Peter and chose me to cover their day, and then Caroline recommended John & Sam. And next year I am working with Charlie & Nicky who were at Caroline's wedding. It's truly wonderful continuing this link, especially when I walk in and see so many familiar faces]
