Charity Lunch

Last Saturday I had the priviledge of being invited by one of my 2006 brides to a charity lunch in aid of Cancer Research - specifically for breast cancer. Called 'By Invitation Only' it is a lunch group set up 7 years ago to celebrate friendship. It was really good fun and very touching to see so many women all smiling, laughing and generally pulling each other's legs (another way of showing that we care apparently!)

The message was (and is) that wherever your friends all are - whether the other side of the world or country, or tied up with family life and jobs, or sadly having succumbed to awful diseases like breast cancer - you are thinking about them & that they will always be in your heart.


They managed to raise over £4k this year taking the tally in 7 years to over £20k. A huge well done to the organisers and to Karen especially... thank you. I am very honoured to be your friend.
