Verity & Neil's Wedding at Newick Park near Lewes, East Sussex

Blue skies... Hip hip hooray! I had the most wonderful day with Neil and Verity at their wedding last month. Newick Park is a great place to visit and the weather was fantastic. The marquee was stunning and what was especially lovely about the whole day was how many friends and family had been involved. There were flowers, stationery, cake, the guys and their guitars, a DJ plus Dave and his 8mm cinecam of course. I liked that everything was very personal to Neil and Verity - even down to the table names... their favourite London pubs! Classic.

To see their mini slideshow simply click on the image below. To see all of their pictures, once in the slideshow view, click on the shopping basket and when prompted the password is Neil & Verity's surname (case sensitive).

Verity and the girls got ready upstairs while the guys fixed shirts (!) and did some sound checks. Verity's dress was gorgeous. Suzanne Neville makes dresses for brides with stunning figures that actually show off curves properly while at the same time being extremely feminine. I don't know of many designers who make bodice sections that really do fit perfectly in every way and then sweep down into beautiful A-lines. Verity's dress had all of this and was also finished off with exquisite fabric detail, pretty buttons and some unique touches too like the silk sash and lace jacket. She looked stunning.

The service was held in Newick's loggia outside with sun blazing down onto a colourful audience. It was lovely watching Verity approach Neil along the long gravel terrace and into a ceremony full of joy.

Afterwards I took a few shots of the two of them and their groups before the reception really kicked off with everyone making their way into the marquee and some pretty spectacular speeches courtesy of Graham, Neil and Nick. The reactions to Nick's photo boards were amazing - not least by Neil. It was hysterical. After the meal the photo boards were auctioned off before more guests arrived for the evening and some crazy dancing, lantern lighting, and a farewell shot in front of the night sky.

Thanks for looking after me so well in terms of food & lemonade. Fred & I look forward to seeing you on the 7th! x

Update: It was great seeing you all today and thank you so much for the lovely flowers, wine and of course Fred's bone. He's very attached to it as you can see from the photo below.

Good luck with the elbow, Neil, and I'll be in touch with your album design very soon. x
