I started off the day at Abi's Parents' home before setting off with my trusty driver (think Bodie & Doyle / Starsky & Hutch / Dukes of Hazzard) to the Registry Office in Haywards Heath. A brief ceremony, full of smiles, and then to the College to meet up with the remaining guests and a drinks reception on the lawn of the Headmaster's Garden. The sun shone brightly at last - it seems that I am a lucky charm so far this year! The guests made their way across the quadrangle lawn, into the colourful & well decorated dining hall where they were greeted by a fabulous 3-piece band.
Great food (thanks Mr & Mrs W) and much hilarity ensued during the meal and the speeches went down well with Mike putting together a hysterical slideshow - I've included their school photo here to give you a feel... sorry you guys!
Finally, they were whisked away to Ockenden Manor before heading back for a quick sandwich and beer with friends. They let off all the balloons and fireworks before Abi & Leigh headed off into the night.
All in all a wonderful day, full of joy. It was a pleasure to be with you all. Thanks for looking after me and thanks to my fab driver... you're a star, Mum.
