I had a brilliant pre-wedding shoot down on the coast in Devon last weekend.
I always suggest to my wedding couples that they chose somewhere that has a special meaning to them as it will show in the final results. Steven and Anna chose Budleigh Salterton, a place where Anna spent many happy summers in her childhood. They both now spend time there and it's a great place to take visiting friends. We walked along the river & played pooh sticks before heading back to the beach for a stroll up towards the centre of town.
For some reason I chose to meet in the middle of the day when normally I would opt for late afternoon. This makes for very romantic images as the sun sets. However, I'm so pleased that I did as we had the first really sunny day of the year and the sky was an amazing blue. After all the rain of the first few months of 2007 it was so refreshing.
It was also an excuse to have ice cream (like I need an excuse)... Anyway here is a selection from the session.
Don't worry Steven and Anna's family... I won't ask them to go tree climbing on their wedding day!
